Women's Focus Ministries

Women's Focus Ministries

We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Wednesday Writing...6/6/10..."Look for the New"

Good Morning,

At the beginning of every new season, we set off on an adventure to find something new to learn from and enjoy. That is true but sometimes the learning can be painful. It is all part of life and how we grow and mature, and along the way there is fun to be had. Glenna wrote, "...the Lord reassures us “Be not afraid” and in our hearts, we do know that God is in control of every situation, but we often times have to remind ourselves of the sovereignty of God as His ways are above our ways and His timing is always perfect."

Heading off this morning to see what new thing can be discovered and learned from.

"Look for the New"
by Glenna Williamson

“See, I am making all things new!”
........
“Write this down, for what I tell you
is trustworthy and true:
REV, 25:1
We are heading into a new season approaching, as the saying goes “Out with the old season and in with the new season”. As the new season arrives, it is a good time to reflect on the two seasons already gone by and to thank the Lord for His goodness and His mercy once again.

It is a time of renewing, to start all over again whether it be goals to reach during the summer season or just the thought of, “This a the start of a new season for me. All through the Bible, the Lord reassures us “Be not afraid” and in our hearts, we do know that God is in control of every situation, but we often times have to remind ourselves of the sovereignty of God as His ways are above our ways and His timing is always perfect.

A dearly beloved sister in the Lord has recently been bumping into the scripture below over and over, to the point that she knows the Lord is speaking directly to her. So, for this new season, I will allocate and pass this on to all of you sisters in the Lord from her:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.”
(Jeremiah 29:11)

With that being said, what more do we need?  For our confidence, hope and future
are in our Lord Jesus Christ,
The Lord God Almighty.
Amen!

In life, we have many opportunities to try new things/
God leads into that. Sometimes it is a piece of cake, and sometimes we get ourselves into a pickle. What is best the cake or the pickle? They are both good, because in each situation
there can be fun to be had and also lessons to learn.
