Good Morning,

Early every morning I walk two miles in our neighborhood. It helps to get me motivated to launch out on my day. It is still somewhat dark when I start my walk so I carry a flashlight with me.
Last week as I was walking, I was approached by a medium-sized black dog without a leash and without an owner. The dog was by no means a friendly dog. and he made that clear to me. He circled me with a snarly, vicious growl, continuously, and came very close to me. Each time he would do so I would shine the flashlight in his face. As I would do in his face, and he would continue to back away from the light. I was just as determined as he was. He finally grew tired and weary of the light, just ran away, and started barking at a dog that was fenced in. He decided the darkness was better than the light.
that, the dog would back off. That went on for several minutes. I would continue to shine the light. Isn't that a clear picture of our Jesus? He is truly the Light in a very dark world. When Jesus appears, the darkness gets tired and weary, gives up and runs away. Darkness cannot stay when Jesus is around. Darkness wants to stay in darkness so will do whatever it takes to escape the light.
I have Jesus with me and because He is with me and lives in me; His light shines through me. The darkness (that represented the dog), was not able to overtake me because of the light of Jesus. His light shone brightly that day and overtook the darkness. Because of the Light of Jesus, I was well protected on all sides. There was nothing that could come against me.
Our Jesus shines ever so bright through each and every one of His children and darkness has to flee!

Today the theme is about light and darkness. God is the light, and satan does not like the light. In this writing, the enemy is compared to the snarling dog that our writer encountered one day on her early morning walk. Sandy wrote, "The darkness...was not able to overtake me because of the light of Jesus. His light shone brightly that day and overtook the darkness. Because of the Light of Jesus, I was well protected on all sides. There was nothing that could come against me."

" Then Jesus said to them,
"A little while longer the light is with you.
Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtakes;
he who walks in darkness does not know
where he is going."
Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtakes;
he who walks in darkness does not know
where he is going."
John 12:35
I have Jesus with me and because He is with me and lives in me; His light shines through me. The darkness (that represented the dog), was not able to overtake me because of the light of Jesus. His light shone brightly that day and overtook the darkness. Because of the Light of Jesus, I was well protected on all sides. There was nothing that could come against me.
Our Jesus shines ever so bright through each and every one of His children and darkness has to flee!
I rejoice in serving our Living Savior each day who is with us always. His Light will shine till the ends of this earth!!!
