We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Friday Writing..."Heart On My Sleeve"...8/25/17

Good morning

The theme of the writing today is found in its title, "Heart On My Sleeve." The author built her writing based on the old expression that someone is wearing her heart on her sleeve. In the process we learn that Jesus by His great love has His heart on His sleeve as well. Karen wrote, "Jesus willingly came to earth to save all of us from our sins. He wants no one lost and wants everyone of us in heaven with Him. He suffered horrible agony and death on the cross to that very end.  His heart was definitely on His sleeve and still is!"

This is a result of Jesus becoming human like us only never guilty of any evil. He has emotions that match ours and was fully human as well as fully God. How He was and is, makes Him love like us but perfectly.

God bless,
Karen and Corinne

"Heart On My Sleeve"

When I was a young girl, I was always  wearing my heart on my sleeve for all the world to see. My mother told me that constantly. Of course, the first time she uttered those words, she had to follow them up with their explanation. I was unaware of it meaning anyone could see who I had a crush on by the look on my face when the boy was present and by the way I acted around him - not an uncommon thing by any means.

Over 2,000 years ago, there was a young man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He looked at the people with love and compassion, healed them, cast out demons, taught them. He was the way, the truth, and the life, and worked many miracles. He had come to earth from heaven to die for every sin in the world. He was filled with a love so strong, we are unable to comprehend it. He still loves each one of us the same way. His name is Jesus and the Bible tells us,

"Greater love has no one than this,
that he lays down his life for his friends."
John 15:13.

Jesus willingly came to earth to save all of us from our sins. He wants no one lost and wants everyone of us in heaven with him. He suffered horrible agony and death on the cross to that very end.  His heart was definitely on His sleeve and still is!

I find my heart definitely on my sleeve once again. This time, however, it's for Jesus. I want everyone to know by my words and actions that my heart, first and foremost, belongs to Him. I love Him with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind, and all my strength
.

We Christians are such richly blessed people. There are beautiful families, wonderful friends, freedoms, health, all our senses, food and shelter. We live in a country where we can freely worship our Lord. And, the most wonderful blessing is our free gift of salvation, paid for us by Jesus Christ's innocent blood, and by His death and resurrection. He has given this to us through faith from the Holy Spirit.

We've been blessed with the knowledge of Christ's promises to all believers which give us the hope, peace, and comfort we live in here on our earthly sojourn as we wait for our future of eternal bliss in heaven.

Heaven, never to want for anything again, living every single moment in complete joy, never another pain, never any more tears or sorrow, gazing into the face of our loving Lord.

"As the Father has loved me,
so have I loved you.
 Now, remain in my love."
John 15:9.

My heart Is on my sleeve! How about yours?

Dear Jesus, Thank You for wearing Your heart on Your sleeve and being willing to  suffer and die to save us. You showed the entire world how much You love all of us. May those who don't know You realize that and come to faith in You, celebrating the peace and joy of Your promises. May we always wear our hearts on our sleeves for You. In Your Saving name we pray. Amen.
