Good morning,
We have a lag time here since we started this feature after Scott and Shelly Keith had been on the road for three weeks. I got the idea because I feel that this is a unique story that the Keiths are writing as they observe how "God is on the move" is out country. They are meeting people along their route and attending amazing churches every Sunday. By sharing with us we are enjoying a peek at this wonderful country, its citizens and its churches in the North West.
I hope you will enjoy this as much as I am each week.
God bless
Shelly, Scott, and Corinne

We left Wenatchee on Wednesday 5/24 the part promised by the Chevy dealership came in on time as planned for the truck, thank you Lord! I said good-bye to Roxanne and thanked her again for her kindness. I think that our paths will cross again…just sayn.
We headed to Idaho on Hwy 2 thru Washington and drove past the most remote ranches and farms we have ever seen. We came across a Horse Rescue Ranch the sign said “Teaching Horses to Trust Again” that sign made me sad but hopeful. That is what the Lord does for us, he gives us refuge from our past and heals us from our hurt and brokenness, he helps us to Trust again…to trust in our Savior Jesus.
We arrived at Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho another out of the way rustic campground. Every campsite was littered with deer and elk poop, I am not a poop expert but the campground manager said it was for sure. Kyle was his name, a young guy from Iowa. He was in the banking industry and wanted a change of scenery so is managing the campground. The Lord put it on our heart to be intentional in reaching out to others so we told Kyle that we would make him dinner. We have so much, we said- the menu: tri-tip, New York steak, grilled asparagus, and Scott’s favorite garlic shrimp. Oh I made him my specialty, Almond bark. He was so excited when we delivered it to him. He said “thank you but why are you doing this?” We said we just want you to have a home cooked meal. He did not know how to accept this gift. Just enjoy it Kyle, you don’t owe us anything- A reminder to us that we need to be able to accept the gifts from others.
Please note that when we share what we did for others it is not showing off or prideful it is just a way to tell our story. The Lord he presents us with opportunities but he also lets us give within our means so let’s be intentional and give or help when we can and not expect anything in return.
Kalispell, MT
Sunday 5/28/17
Levi Lusko, (one of Greg Laurie’s pastors from the Harvest Ministry)
3rd Service 8, 10 and Noon as well as 2 services on Saturday night
100 + attending
Held at the Liberty Theater in downtown Kalispell, it opened in 1921 and is a preserved historical bldg. Very retro inside and original from its first opening. The sound and media was spectacular, lights and smoke and very loud music. It was definitely geared towards the young people. The church was on the move, several new churches springing up all over the state and also plans to move into Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah. The mission of the church is: To see people who are stranded in Sin and let them find Life and Liberty in Jesus Christ.
He encouraged all the young people to get plugged in to church and life groups because when you know God that is when you will know who you are and what he has planned for you it will give you that purpose you are looking for when you are young and just starting out. The sermon was based on Psalm 23 a series entitled Rock and Soul. We read Psalm 23:6 and he encouraged us to savor the verse don’t gulp it down. Levi was on a video screen, he was not live and you can hear his message at this link:

He had a super funny fed-x story it was about things that you buy online and it requires a signature in order to receive it. Why do they do that? He said. Sometimes I am in the shower or doing business and the package arrives, and depending on what you bought it may have come from another country, it came on a boat or a truck or a train and it arrived at your house, up the driveway, knocked on the door and you did not answer.
So you get that sticky note that says ”Sorry we missed you” "UUUUGGGG," he says, "I was waiting for that package, I need that package-- that is MY package." That is how God works he is constantly knocking but we don’t answer, we don’t answer because we are too busy, we are too sad, we are too full of ourselves to answer the door when God calls.
He quoted Proverbs 20:17
He had 4 points to make:
1. Don’t ever put a period where God put a comma. God can make a way when there is no way.
2. Don’t chase after God, let him guide you and be willing to surrender your will.
3. Don’t underestimate what you can do thru your circumstances when God is involved.
4. Don’t mistake what is temporary and forget about eternal life.
He encouraged everyone to take a look at their life and remove some things to make room for God’s plan. When you are talking to friends, co-workers, family did you leave the conversation with mercy and goodness or were you complaining or gossiping or worse in the world. He told us to live our lives with purpose and don’t wait till we die to enjoy heaven.

We were given a welcome package that included a pen, a journal book and a key chain. We talked to a few folks, and everyone was happy and kind and wanted to hear about our story. The experience was a good one- we actually really liked Montana and may consider making it our home. More places to go… the adventures of Scott and Shelly.
