Tuesday Writing by Sandy Billingham......6/27/17

Good morning,

Today Sandy Billingham is writing on Proverbs 11 25, and her title "Refresh Others and You Shall Be Refreshed." This verse is about refreshing and being refreshed. Sandy wrote, "As we are yielded to the Father, and act upon the needs He puts before us, those refreshing waters will flow through us. As we take those steps to move forward to bless and refresh, our God will  refresh those individuals as well as us in beautiful ways!"

We hope that you will be able to go out and spread refreshing to others and recieve some back to you from the Lord.

 Today's Devotional 

"Refresh Others and You Shall Be Refreshed"

I am so thankful for the people that God has placed in my sphere. It seems like weekly those people are always reaching out to me and blessing me in some very specific way. Whether that may be in tangible ways such as giving me their overflow of vegetables from their garden  or just speaking or praying God's rich goodness over me. That list goes on and on and I know it is  because of the generosity that God has  placed in their hearts.

God tells us in His Word...

  

"A generous  person will prosper;  

Whoever refreshes  others  will  be refreshed."

Proverbs 11:25

That is a  beautiful promise  for  us. As we are generous to the people God has  put  before us, that not  only refreshes them but in turn we get  refreshed  by the hand of God. It is a win/win kind of  thing. And the bonus is that we shall prosper in Christ!

As we are refreshed by others, that will encourage and generate a desire  within us to be sensitive to the needs of the people that we are aware of. We will want to give from our hearts to allow God's refreshing waters to be poured out.

Because  God has been so very good to me in seeing that I am refreshed continuously, I in turn want to always have that heart to refresh others.

We do not  have to look far, because people's needs  are vast in our midst! As we are  open to the Holy Spirit and come before our Heavenly Father with tender hearts, He will show us precisely who to  refresh.

As we are yielded to the Father, and act upon the needs He puts before us, those refreshing waters will flow through us. As we take those steps to move forward to bless and refresh, our God will  refresh those individuals as well as us in beautiful ways!

Get ready for God to increase a spirit of generosity in you and let the refreshing times unfold in remarkable ways in your life!!
