Good morning,
We should verify our facts before joining in this new evil scheme to weaken our faith by the re-distribution of false facts. We should not be the one who works to answer our own prayer by circulating unsubstantiated news or so called “information from reliable sources” that have no name, date or place.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The Fight for Truth and Righteousness" is the title of today's writing by Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Ward. It begins with affirming the need to put on the armour of God especially in these times when evil and lies are being spread by the falsehoods and rumors that are being spread in social media, the news, and gossip.
Here is a quote from this writing, "I am very concerned that we, as followers of Christ, are falling for the deception of the devil. There are a lot of fake stories, unauthenticated gossips and twisted Bible doctrine flying around on the internet and social media. I see it every day on Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and others. These reports and opinions are simply not true and often go against the Bible."
and...
"We are warned against gossip and harboring hate. The words we spread should bring hope. The stories we circulate should lift up the banner of Christ and help His church prepare for the challenging days ahead."
Let us use discernment and good will in all our conversations and actions.
God bless
Brother Thomas, Jody, and Corinne
Today's Devotional
"The Fight for Truth and Righteousness"
"The Fight for Truth and Righteousness"
In conclusion be strong
in the Lord and in the strength of His might. I am just reminding you that your
strength must come from the Lord because God is strong and He wants you to be
strong. Draw your power and might from Him and be empowered through your union
with Him.
And you must put on all
of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe and firm against all the
strategies, tricks and schemes of the devil. Take up everything God has set out
for you, all His precepts like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier,
all the well-made weapons of the best materials. Put them to use so you will be
able to stand up to everything the devil throws your way.
We’re not waging war
against flesh-and-blood enemies but against supernatural powers, tyrants and
authorities in the spiritual world. We are not wrestling and struggling against
real people with real bodies, but rather, we are fighting evil rulers of the
unseen world, mighty powers in this present dark world and evil spirits in
heavenly places. We are doing battle against forces of wickedness, mighty
satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world and huge
numbers of wicked spirits.
Never forget, this is
not a game to be taken lightly. This battle is for keeps, a life-or-death fight
to the finish against the devil and all his angels.
Ephesians 6.10-12
WATCH AND PRAYER
I am very concerned that
we, as followers of Christ, are falling for the deception of the devil. There
are a lot of fake stories, unauthenticated gossips and twisted Bible doctrine
flying around on the internet and social media. I see it every day on Facebook,
Messenger, Instagram and others. These reports and opinions are simply not true
and often go against the Bible.
We should verify our facts before joining in this new evil scheme to weaken our faith by the re-distribution of false facts. We should not be the one who works to answer our own prayer by circulating unsubstantiated news or so called “information from reliable sources” that have no name, date or place.
Information is wonderful
when it is from the right sources. The internet and social media can be tools
for truth and shine light on righteousness. But information that is loaded with
lies will only succeed in recruiting us to help the devil in his evil work of
spreading falsehood and damaging lives.
It is our call to spread
truth and righteousness. It is our duty to pray for those in authority. We are
warned against gossip and harboring hate. The words we spread should bring
hope. The stories we circulate should lift up the banner of Christ and help His
church prepare for the challenging days ahead.
