Good morning...

Today (fueled by the devotion) has me thinking about the evils and trouble throughout the world. I do not need to make list...we all know what they are. However, when I looked for a graphic of God's anger, After going back and forth I found the first one that is in the devotional,"Slow to Anger." This comes from the Scripture verse in Psalm 86:15...

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,

slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Luckily, God is slow to anger. The reason for this is that it is His heart that no man perish. That all may be with Him in heaven for eternity. Still, make no mistake! His patience in the face of the evil and immorality going on in this world will eventually bring Him to righteous anger.

This post is late because I needed to do more to get it ready due to the topic and my handle on it.

Today's devotional was written by Carol Steficek. The name is "RIGHTEOUS ANGER." The theme is obvious. God has given His people so much instruction about doing good and living righteously. Still the world persists in doing evil on all fronts. New evil practices are becoming what are accepted and made legal in rapid succession. Carol wrote, "Jesus is coming back again, sooner than most people, even Christians, think. The signs of prophecy continue to be fulfilled before our very eyes."

RIGHTEOUS ANGER

"Then he entered the temple area

and began driving out those who were selling.

'It is written,' he said to them, 'My house will be a house of prayer;

but you have made it a den of robbers.'"

Luke 19:45, 46

God is going to come again with righteous anger to cleanse and judge His church as well as this evil world. As sinful people, we even become angry sometimes with all of injustices we see in this world. People are poor, abused, violated, wrongly convicted at times by our court system, false teachings within the church are leading people astray -- the list goes on and on.

If we become angry with what we see, think about what a holy and just God sees. This world is living in direct violation of all of God's righteous commandments and the command to love God above all else and our neighbors as ourselves.

Jesus is coming back again, sooner than most people, even Christians, think. The signs of prophecy continue to be fulfilled before our very eyes. Jesus is going to establish His kingdom on earth where peace and justice will prevail forever. Take heed. You have a choice to be one of His children or one who rejects His salvation. Pray the Holy Spirit imparts life to you so you won't experience God's righteous anger.
