We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

Saturday Writings......5/28/16

Good morning...
Today I spent a long tine working out with my plants. I have lots of succulents and every spring I have to prune then, In the simmer they grow a bit stalky, and by the spring they are like people with wild hair in need of a cut. That is where they have come.So I slaved all day helping them to look civilized. I will still have to work on them some more tomorrow. They look so beautiful when the work is done.

God spends lots of tine on us, how we develop, where we are planted, how healthy we are. When He is done we are beautiful in His eyes.

Have a swell Saturday. It is going to be in the 90's in my neck of the woods. Keep cool, or warm, or dry...whatever your weather requires.

God bless from,
Corinne

The devotional component of Saturday Writings was written by Carol Steficek. The title of her devotional is "Learning Experiences," She points out the fact that inventors did not consider glitches in their efforts to invent...they considered roadblocks an opportunity to work and succeed. Here is part of what Carol wrote, "I doubt many of us look at life that way.  We tend to be hard on ourselves and think we have "failed" when we just need to learn from our experiences and go on from there.  We all gain understanding only from experience."

   "LEARNING EXPERIENCES"
written by
Carol Steficek

The full riches of complete understanding..
he full riches of complete understanding..."
 Colossians 2:2

One interesting fact which I have read about a number of great inventors, like Salk and Edison, is that they did not consider their many trials on the way to their successful inventions or discoveries to be "failures" but rather "learning experiences."

I doubt many of us look at life that way.  We tend to be hard on ourselves and think we have "failed" when we just need to learn from our experiences and go on from there.  We all gain understanding only from experience.  There is no easy road to completing any task or job, and we do not learn from osmosis.  Life isn't that way.

God want us to be encouraged by what we learn.  God doesn't expect us to stay as we are.  Neither does He expect perfection.  He expects perseverance.  As humans we will never be perfect.  We will all spend our entire lives learning and growing.  Look at all you do the way great inventors did and the way God does.  Life is a process of learning experiences

   Encouraging Christian Poems

"This Is The Time; This Is The Hour"

The Lord our God will say to us
To not limit what He can do,
For He is a God of the unlimited,
There's nothing He can’t do through you

For God is doing a new thing
In our lives, today, this hour
To raise us up to be His army,
Clothing us with His power

Remember not the former things,
The things that are in the past
Behold, He is doing a new thing
And will capture human hearts

It's time now to go out and gather
In the harvest of the Lord,
For there are many whose souls are ready
More than we've known before

So take His light into those places
Of darkness and misery,
That they may know the God of love
To give hope and a destiny

Then they may shine right where they are
So others may come to the light
And they in turn may come to know
The saving grace of Christ

Then Jesus' light may radiate there
Like a beacon in the night,
No longer groping in the darkness,
But shining forth God's light

May the spirit of God arise in you
And empower you much more
So His glory may be seen with you
As you proclaim the risen Lord

   Quotes of Famous Christians
   Past and Present

Stuart Briscoe
The spirit of Christmas needs to be superseded by the Spirit of Christ. The spirit of Christmas is annual; the Spirit of Christ is eternal. The spirit of Christmas is sentimental; the Spirit of Christ is supernatural. The spirit of Christmas is a human product; the Spirit of Christ is a divine person. That makes all the difference in the world.

Anonymous
If it weren't for the optimist, the pessimist would never know how happy he wasn't.

Samuel Adams
What the world requires of the Christians is that they should continue to be Christians.

Amy Carmichael
You can give without loving. But you cannot love without giving.

C S Lewis
Love is unselfishly choosing for another's highest good.
