Good morning...
Today is a new day. Whether we are starting something new, in the middle of a never ending season, or coming to the end of a stage in our life- God has a plan for this day and all the days to come. I have a tendency to focus on being ready for all the days to come -so when I read this quote about today- I stopped to consider:

- “One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon-instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today.” – Dale Carnegie

Jeremiah 25:11-12
"...This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years. But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt," declares the Lord, "and will make it desolate forever."

"The Pink Umbrella "

Sitting in my car preparing myself for the event known as 'shopping at Costco on a Saturday' I notice a dad carrying a black umbrella with a miniature pink umbrella at his side. Curiously I watch as they get closer and I see that the bright Scooby Doo umbrella is perfectly matched to a little pink dress covered in flowers and finished with 2 small rows of ruffles. I think back to the favorite dresses of my daughters, when I spot the glittery shoes and black and white striped knee socks and I almost laugh out loud with delight. The smiling owner is holding her umbrella with one hand and her dad's hand with the other.
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13 ESV
Dear Lord, please help us to find contentment in today. No matter what we are facing- we can hold our umbrella in one hand and Your hand with the other. Then we can be brave and do what is necessary because we know that You are with us. In Jesus name, amen.

Babylon Will Rule Over Judah for 70 Years
You can read the first such prophecy in Jeremiah 25:11-12. This prophecy was written sometime from 626 to about 586 BC and was not fulfilled until about 609 BC to 539 BC (approximately 50 years later, depending on your calculation)
