Good Morning,
Praying that you have something exciting to do this weekend.
I am in Twain Harte, CA. at our Women's Focus Ministries Retreat #6. We have been on overdrive getting ready and now we are enjoying the fruit of this labor. God always shows up at these retreats and it is an overwhelming joy and blessing.
Blessings from Corinne
This also rules out
being comfortable or complacent. Seizing the day may involve taking
risks, venturing out into uncharted waters, serving rather than being served.

SEIZE THE DAY
"As long as it is day,
we must do the
work of him who sent me.
Night is coming, when no one can work."
-- John 9:4
Night is coming, when no one can work."
-- John 9:4
Some of you may be
familiar with the Latin phrase carpe deum which means "seize the
day." We are to make the most of each day which we are given -- both
the good and the bad. We are not to put off for tomorrow what we can do today or for a more "convenient" time.
This rules out
procrastination, the bane of many people's existence. Days upon days go
by and procrastinators wonder why they accomplish so little. They always
look for tomorrow and then don't do anything with it...as it's
just another day like yesterday.
There is nothing God
expects us to do that He hasn't already done for us. There is nothing God
expects us to do that He won't be with us throughout the whole process.
There is nothing God expects us to do that He won't bring to completion.
There is no day's adventures which surprise God -- He has already been there.
When you wake up tomorrow morning, go with God -- seize the day He has graciously given
you!

- Henry David Thoreau - Never refuse any advance of friendship, for if nine out of ten bring you nothing, one alone may repay you.
