Good morning...
Today our message at church was about the development of Praise Worship in the times of the Old Testament through modern times. In a nutshell, the culture and languages of the areas where the style of worship originated showed a definite influence of the individual areas.
The Monday Devotional, entitled "Continual Devotional," was written by Sandy Billingham. It talks about praise as a way to reach God. Sandy wrote, "When I choose to Praise the Lord and my focus is on Christ, all my worries and problems seem to melt away."

In His Great Praise,
The world is full or people who have talents different from our talents. If someone has a talent that you try to embrace and show forward you are the mirror. When we are operating with our own talents, we are the candle.

Joke for Today
n old man limped into the doctor's office and said, "Doctor, my knee hurts so bad, I can hardly walk!"
The doctor slowly eyed him from head to toe, paused and then said, "Sir, how old are you?"
"I'm 98," the man announced proudly.
The doctor just sighed, and looked at him again. Finally he said, "Sir, I'm sorry. I mean, just look at you. You are almost one hundred years old, and you're complaining that your knee hurts? Well, what did you expect?"
The old man said, "Well, my other knee is 98 years old too, and it doesn't hurt!"

Today's Devotional
"Continual Praise! "
written by
Sandy Billingham
This morning as I woke up.. I had a Praise song on my lips that kept going over and over in my head as well as a scripture that came to mind.
That scripture was...
That scripture was...
Psalm 34:1
"I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be on my lips."

I love it when the Lord does that. I know that was definitely straight from His heart onto me. I love to Praise the Lord, but sometimes I forget how powerful it is when you Praise Him continuously.
When I choose to Praise the Lord and my focus is on Christ, all my worries and problems seem to melt away. My heart is lifted up and I am soaring with great hope, expectation and joy in the Lord. I am also strengthened in His power and might spiritually.
There are so many benefits when we Praise the Lord with all of our hearts. I become more aware of the Love Jesus has for us and how He desires for us to be more like Him. I am able to hear more clearly what the Lord is wanting to say to me and to draw even closer onto Him. Any pride that I may be carrying is replaced with His humility.
So the next time you begin to Praise the Lord... just keep going and watch the wonders of our Lord began to unfold before your very eyes.

What Kind of Light are You?
There are several ways to look at this.
What is light?
Light is a glow that illuminates the darkness.
What is darkness?
Darkness is inability to see clearly,
It can be due to never learning something or never being taught.
Who teaches new ideas and ways to live.
1. God teaches us what we need and He is the true pinnacle of light.
2, Other people who teach us are parents. school teachers, what we see in the media.
2, Other people who teach us are parents. school teachers, what we see in the media.
writers and authors, history, our friends, what we experience as we grow.
The world is full or people who have talents different from our talents. If someone has a talent that you try to embrace and show forward you are the mirror. When we are operating with our own talents, we are the candle.
Around this all God wraps us in the ability to understand and grow.
So looking at this information...
What Kind of Light are You?
WHEN ARE YOU THE CALDLE?
WHEN ARE YOU THE LIGHT?
HOW DO YOU TO SPREAD YOUR LIGHT?
WHEN ARE YOU THE LIGHT?
HOW DO YOU TO SPREAD YOUR LIGHT?

Aiden Wilson Tozer was born April 21, 1897 on a small farm in Western Pennsylvania, the third of six children. And although he would inspire millions with his preaching and writing, he was given very little education during his childhood.
A. W. Tozer was 66 when he died of a heart attack on May 12, 1963. Buried in a small cemetery in Akron, his tombstone simply and appropriately reads, "A Man of God." He left behind many books that continue to give Christians encouragement and guidance. His writings are as fresh today as when he was alive. His honest and colloquial humor has been known to sweep up congregations in gales of laughter. And his wisdom has left them silent and stunned. For almost 50 years Tozer walked with God, and even though he is gone, he continues to minister to those who are eager to experience God.
Refuse to be average. Let your heart soar as high as it will.
The faith of Christ offers no buttons to push for quick service. The new order must
wait the Lord's own time, and that is too much for the man in a hurry.
He just gives up and becomes interested in something else.
When we become too glib in prayer we are most surely talking to ourselves.
As the excellence of steel is strength, and the excellence of art is beauty,
so the excellence of mankind is moral character.
What I am anxious to see in Christian believers is a beautiful paradox,
I want to see in them the joy of finding God while at the same time
they are blessedly pursuing Him. I want to see in them
the great joy of having God yet always wanting Him.
