Good Morning Readers,
We have been having bizarre weather in California these days. There has been hail and high winds and sky changing from blue with frothy white clouds to almost charcoal grey clouds bringing drenching rain in a matter of minutes. We have been enjoying God's weather show. We are blessed because though exciting it is not dangerous on our neck of the woods. The same is not the case in other sections of California. There are floods and mud slides...which is part of the price of breaking the grip of California's drought. Please pray that some of the dire consequences are lessened.
Have a blessed day.

"Be Resolute And Courageous!"
I have been praying a specific prayer request along with two other gals for the past, almost three years. Our prayer times have been intense, mountain moving and faith building. The Lord always shows up in very powerful ways each time we meet. We pray for many other requests as well. I love being with these gals, for they are steeped in God's Word and believe it fully. As each of us keep our eyes fixed and focused on Jesus we are able to pray with great faith. We know each promise in God's Word is for us and is a resounding YES and AMEN!
It is when we start to doubt or waver or walk in unbelief is when we can get discouraged and down and out. It is so important to link arms with believers that are like-minded and walk in God's truth. It keeps you strengthened in Jesus, or in other words your faith muscles exercised well!
I was so encouraged by God's Word today that says...
"Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith,
be courageous, be strong."
be courageous, be strong."
1 Corinthians 16:13 (NIV)
and in the Message translation it says
"Keep your eyes open, hold tight to your convictions,
give it all you got, be resolute."
I totally was rocked by that verse. Everything in that verse says full blown determination to trust in Jesus without reservation. We do not have to be moved by what is going on around us, but to completely believe what our Lord says.
We can have full assurance in our Lord! He will never disappoint us and will not go back on His promises.
Hold fast to Jesus and watch Him fulfill His Word!!
In His Unshakable Faith

Quotations from Joyce Meyer
Joyce Meyer is a Charismatic Christian author and speaker. Meyer and her husband Dave have four grown children, and live outside St. Louis, Missouri. Her ministry is headquartered near the St. Louis suburb of Fenton, Missouri.
As you read or listen to God's Word and spend time talking to Him in prayer, your spirit will eventually become stronger than your flesh.
Our enemy, the devil, wants to control us, and his target is our will. The main way he tries to influence our will is through lying to us.
Every day that goes by puts us closer to the day when Christ will return.
Yes, God does expect us to live holy, consecrated lives. But not even the best of our intentions can make it happen. Thankfully, He doesn't expect us to make ourselves holy. He just wants us to learn to depend on Him to make us holy.

Prayers are lifted up daily for
you by the Devotional Writers

Thankfully, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, offers us forgiveness even when we lose confidence and our faith slips. Never give up, because God never gives up on us! As an example, when the father of the boy with an evil spirit brings his son to Jesus to be helped, he says: Yes I believe, help my unbelief! And then Jesus commands the evil spirit to leave and it does. The disciples had been unable to do it, and asked why. Jesus said, “This kind can come out only by prayer." Thank you Jesus for showing us how it is done, and for forgiving us when we falter!
ReplyDeleteGood word, Jan. It is true that we are forgiven and have been given what we could never get for ourselves.
