There Are Rules!

Today we had new cabinets put in the garage. We also had closet organizers put into our bedroom closets. So far there is nothing put into them. They are pristine. The whole purpose is to organize our stuff into neat and planned storage. My husband and I did not do the work, but at the end of the day we felt as tired as if we had done the installation. However, out part of the installation will happen tomorrow. In the bedroom it will involve hanging our clothes in some sort of systematic way. I have plans, but I am still wondering if I can do it as it looks in my dreams. I have a twenty inch high pile of clothes on my bed. How did I fit all of that into a closet without dividers? My plan is to put my favorite clothes in first and then put other things (second favorites) into the neatly segmented spaces.

That will be tomorrow's chore,

The truth of the matter is that life is not like that. Life is the flow and ebb of happenings that do not usually fit themselves into neat little cubby holes. Life is the requirement that we face to organize things in a flowing momentum of choices. My choices of how to arrange things might not be your choices. 

There are underlying choices that are not negotiable however. We all have the same rules upon which to base our behavior and our choices. The Ten Commandments cover all the rules that God has given us. So today as I arrange my closets in the bedroom and our storage cabinets in the garage I am free to fix them any way my husband and I want them. If I had a Bhudda statue (which I actually do not have) I would be breaking the first commandment to have it enthroned on a pedastal in a closet. LOL I am just kidding, but I used this example to show that I have freedom to arrange placement of things allowed, but I need to choose the items with reference to God's rulex.
