Good Morning Readers
Tonight I got home from my little weekend trip. It was a nice break and relaxing. However, the trip home was lengthy and seemed to go on and on. I think that was because we were tired by then and looking forward to being home. I walked in and immediately got two phone calls. Back in the saddle again.

Don't Wait Any Longer
Walking through the front door I am greeted by a warm fire and a cozy tea party spread across the coffee table in our living room. A moment more and I recognize some of my best china pieces in the hands of my teenager.
One of my grandmothers had a complete china collection that she took great pride in. It was a beautiful set and all of her granddaughters admired it. Much like using the 'good' dishes for holiday dinners - I came to view china as something very special. Little by little I had received some lovely gifts and gathered a mix of pretty tea things from second hand shops and yard sales. I would imagine having friends over for lunch and using all of the delicate china to show them how special their friendships were to me.

Don't Wait Any Longer
Walking through the front door I am greeted by a warm fire and a cozy tea party spread across the coffee table in our living room. A moment more and I recognize some of my best china pieces in the hands of my teenager.
"Hi Mom, would you like some tea?" she smilingly invites me to join her.
I put away my things and come back to partake in that precious gift of relaxation and relationship. Later as she carefully hand washes the tea things I consider my emotional surprise and initial resistance to her use of my 'special' china pieces.
Now as I watch my daughter handle a tea cup thoughtfully, I am thankful she has opened up the old china cabinet. I don't want to wait any longer to enjoy something God has already done for me.
Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring.
What is your life?
For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
James 4:14 ESV
Dear Lord, thank You for the gentle reminder to stop waiting for some day to slow down and enjoy the people that are in my life. Please help me to remember that life is not waiting for me. Each day will fly past whether or not I take time to actually participate in it. Thank You for waking me up! In Jesus name, amen.

Scriptures that give promises of God.
The promises of God are powerful and awesome to grasp. These scriptures about God’s promises are filled with encouragement from God to those who read them.
Check out the lyrics from this song that was sung by Alan Jackson among others.
Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.
Romans 6:23
(The Living Bible)
For the wages of sin is death,
but the free gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord
Romans 6:22-23
(The Message)
(The Message)
But now that you’ve found you don’t have to listen to sin tell you what to do, and have discovered the delight of listening to God telling you, what a surprise! A whole, healed, put-together life right now, with more and more of life on the way! Work hard for sin your whole life and your pension is death. But God’s gift is real life, eternal life, delivered by Jesus, our Master.
