GOOD MORNING READERS
One more day, and it is the weekend.
Hope you have something fun planned
to which you are looking forward!

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.
They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This is the good news. Sometimes people forget this and lose hope. We think that we are in an impossible situation when things are not going as we want them to go. The truth is that life is not always perfect, and there will be trials. We must stay close to God and trust that He has a purpose for our lives. Value the fire; it is refining us!

Friday's Devotional
After the death of Moses the servant of God, God spoke to Joshua, Moses’ assistant: “Moses my servant is dead. Get going. Cross this Jordan River, you and all the people. Cross to the country I’m giving to the People of Israel. I’m giving you every square inch of the land you set your foot on—just as I promised Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon east to the Great River, the Euphrates River—all the Hittite country—and then west to the Great Sea. It’s all yours. All your life, no one will be able to hold out against you. In the same way I was with Moses, I’ll be with you. I won’t give up on you; I won’t leave you. Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors. Give it everything you have, heart and soul. Make sure you carry out The Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it. Don’t get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you’re going. And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.”
Joshua 1:9
Have you ever noticed that no matter how much God promises to take care of the people in the Old Testament they loose track and forget His promises. They take things into their own hands and create other gods to help them. They adopt the pagan ways of the people who live in the sane area where they live. They forget the history of what God had done for them. They do evil and do not think twice about it. They wanted kings, and most of the kings did evil in the sight of the Lord. Still God had patience with them and waited many years for them to get hint of what was needed. IN the end he sent them to banishment in Babylon.

garden.
"Can't you hear those bells calling you to church?" asked the minister.
"Eh, what's that?" said the member.
"Can't you hear those bells calling you to church?"
"I'm afraid you'll have to speak a little louder!" said the member.
"CAN'T YOU HEAR THOSE BELLS CALLING YOU TO CHURCH?!" shouted the minister.
"I'm sorry," said the member, "I can't hear you because of those darned BELLS!"
