We are a group of Christian women (and one man) who write daily devotionals and other articles of interest to women.
We publish daily. Praying that you will enjoy this ministry.

Thank you and God bless,
Corinne Mustafa.......and the Writing Staff of "WFM"

One of our writers is writing a novel, called AFTER THE EVENT, that is published Saturdays separately from the daily posts. There is a link on the left side that will take you to the blog of the novel which is being posted in installments.

First Writing 4 the Month...7/1/20..."AT THE END OF THE DAY"

Good morning.

The topic today is in a blog written for the first writing of the month. The topic is trendy sayings and what will happen at the "end of the day" whether this is applies to night times or whether it is a phrase that implies the end of time. Whichever the point is that we should do all we could to enlarge the kingdom of God. Cathy wrote, "The more time we spend in sharing the gospel, encouraging others in the Lord, mentoring new believers, fasting, praying and giving, the more God makes a way for us in our earthly affairs. The Lord does reward our spiritual efforts here in this life. However the important thing is that as we share God's love, we draw closer to Him."

We all would do well to do the things that please God and get us closer to HIm. You could make good habits this week.

Blessings from

Today's Devotional.
"AT THE END OF THE DAY"
 Written by Cathy Friberg

Have you ever noticed that we tend to adopt new popular sayings every now and then? Some years ago it was, "Go figure." Not too long ago, the trendy phrase was, "It is what it is." Somehow almost every conversation manages to incorporate these bywords as long as they are in fashion.  One that was common for a time was, "At the end of the day." It generally referenced what was important or true when everything else had been taken into account. That particular phrase has been stirring around in my mind recently.

Perhaps the thought has come to me because in recent months "the end of the day" looks like it could be near. Whether or not the end of civilization or life itself is on the near horizon for mankind, as Christians we should always be living in view of the afterlife.

"Set your mind on things above,
 not on earthly things."
 Colossians 3:2

We have a choice as to how to live out our time on this earth. We can prioritize our days with things that advance us in the here and now, or with things that will last for all time.

Of course, we need to be responsible as far as earning a living, taking care of our families and earthly affairs. Taking time to rest and play are important too, in order maintain mental and physical health. However, the wise believer will put God's kingdom and work first and everything else will take its proper order and fall into place. It seems that when we dive into quality devotional time first thing in the morning, God moves to make the rest of our day easier and full of His Divine provision.

"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you."
Matthew 6:33

The more time we spend in sharing the gospel, encouraging others in the Lord, mentoring new believers, fasting, praying and giving, the more God makes a way for us in our earthly affairs. The Lord does reward our spiritual efforts here in this life. However the important thing is that as we share God's love, we draw closer to Him. We bless our Savior, bring joy to His heart, and He anticipates with gladness the day when we will see Him face to face forever. By reaching out through our heavenly work, we enlarge The Master's Kingdom, harvesting lost souls and strengthening the faith of His people.

Precious Saviour, may we turn our eyes toward you and live our lives for your glory. May we fill our days in an effort to please you, for "at the end of the day" only what is done for Christ will last.
