Tuesday Writing...5/26/20..."Be Wise As The Ant!"

Good Morning,
The theme of today's writing is the marvels of how ants live and work. They know how to take care of their needs in ways that will assure them survival and success. Sandy wrote, "We can choose to learn from the ant, to be a stronger, wiser, more diligent servant for the Lord, so that we can be used in ways we never imagined possible!"
Study ants and emulate them...you may surprise yourself!

Today's Devotional "Be Wise As The Ant!"
Written by Sandy Billingham

Since I am an avid walker, and the weather has gotten much warmer, I have been seeing hundreds of ant homes every day. It got me thinking  how much we can learn from the ant; just by observing them. I don't recall any time I have seen an ant still. Every single time I have watched an ant, they are scurrying around either building their homes or getting food for their families. I did a little study on ants, and it says that they use wisdom to preserve and protect themselves. In the summer they work diligently to accumulate as much food as possible, which they eat in the fall and spring. They generally hibernate in the winter. Even though they are small, they are mighty in numbers and immensely wise!
God's Word in says...
"The ants are a people not strong,
Yet they prepare their food in the summer.
Proverbs 30:25
That passage is short, but it says a lot about the ant with just a few words. We can glean much from them. I don't believe there is one person that cannot learn from the diligence and tremendous initiative of the ant on how they live their life every day.
The ant uses every opportunity to prosper for themselves and their families. They prepare and store up for what is ahead. They are never passive or complacent but utilize their time well. They are always a step ahead of the game!
There is so much more I could share about the ant, but I think we all get the jest of it. They are a perfect example on how God wants His people to live out their lives.

As the ant stores up food,  the Lord wants us to be diligent in storing His Word. He wants us  meditating on it and storing it up in our hearts, so we have it when we need it. The Holy Spirit will bring it to our minds when necessary. As the ant uses much wisdom, the Lord wants us to call upon Him for His Wisdom, and He will give that to us. He wants us to be a people that walk in Godly Wisdom. As the ants preserve and protect themselves, the Lord wants us to do the same as we pray. He wants us to ask for His protective covering over us and our families. As the ant takes every opportunity and uses his time wisely and prospers, so the Lord wants us to take every opportunity and use our time wisely and prosper.
We can choose to learn from the ant, to be a stronger, wiser, more diligent servant for the Lord,
so that we can be used in ways
we never imagined possible!
