Saturday Writing...4/18/20..."LOSE YOUR LIFE"

Good Morning,

In this writing we are shown the value should not be to hold onto our life. We must look to God to find His standards of worth and to find Him as where we should see worth.  Carol wrote, "Jesus was really specific as pointed in the above Bible passage.  following the ways of the world will lead to destruction, both in the consequences of an aberrant godless lifestyle here, as well as for eternal life."

Have a blessed weekend,

"LOSE YOUR LIFE"

"The man who loves his life will lose it,
while the man who hates his life in this world
will keep it for eternal life."
John 12:25

Jesus was very clear to His disciples and in His teachings to all the people -- there is only one way to follow Him.  What does it mean to lose your life?  It is becoming more and more apparent today that the Christian follower of Jesus is going to live a life starkly different from the rest of the world.

Christian believers will need to "lose" their life and not be conformed to society's standards.  This means they will continue to believe the Bible when others say truth is relative.  This means they will follow Jesus as the only way to heaven when others say any way is all right and all paths lead to the same place.

This means a person will still live according to the Ten Commandments and God's standards, not what "feels good" or is accepted by everyone.  This means a Christian will not be "politically correct."  Jesus was really specific as pointed in the above Bible passage.  following the ways of the world will lead to destruction, both in the consequences of an aberrant godless lifestyle here, as well as for eternal life.
