Good Morning,
Sandy Billingham authored today's writing which she titled, "Growing In Christ." Sandy compared the life cycle changes of a tadpole as it becomes and adult frog to the fact that new Christians need to study and grow in the Lord. Sandy wrote, "Of course we do not croak nor leap lily pads, but as we grow we are able to understand who we are in Christ Jesus. We also gain much wisdom in Christ in leaps and in bounds! We become strong, mature Christians! I know that is quite a contrast but there are some similarities if you use your imagination!"
So our lesson for the day is to seek the cycle of Christian growth into maturity is a work in progress much as the tadpole's as it becomes a frog.
God bless
Sandy and Corinne

Today's Devotional
"Growing In Christ"
Today I walked at one of my most favorite places. It was a gorgeous day as I sauntered along and enjoyed every moment. One area on the walk has a bridge you cross over and under that bridge is a small body of water. I stopped at the middle of the bridge to see if I could spot any living things in the water. Much to my surprise I saw some very developed tadpoles. I could see the legs quite clearly and the core of their bodies were quite wide. It was just a matter of time before they would be frogs.
Of course we do not croak nor leap lily pads, but as we grow we are able to understand who we are in Christ Jesus. We also gain much wisdom in Christ in leaps and in bounds! We become strong, mature Christians! I know that is quite a contrast but there are some similarities if you use your imagination!
God's Word says:
"We are not meant to remain as children
but to grow up in every way into Christ."
Ephesians 4:14-15
(Phillips)
Just as those tadpoles are not meant to stay tadpoles, we too are not meant to remain as children in our walk. All those trillions of tadpoles swimming in the waters all over this world are soon to be big, strong frogs. We too as we grow in Jesus, we will soon be Powerful, Courageous, Believers able to walk in much Victory and have a solid foundation in the Lord.
May we each continue to grow and develop in Christ to be all He has called us to be as we live out our days on this earth.
Growing in Him Daily,
Sandy Billingham
