"Joy Is Ours!"
How many of us know true joy? The joy that never leaves us. It may be a tad lessened at times, but our daily walk with Christ keeps it alive and at work in our lives.
Oh, the beauty of every day's walk with Him, discussing the joys and the troubles of each one. We can count on Jesus, to always listen. When we have a day laden with trouble or sorrow, He fills our hearts with peace and comfort, bringing us sweet, sweet joy for taking refuge in Him. We turn to His open arms to hide in Him.
When our day is filled with unfathomable joy, we can't wait to get to Him and share the wonder of His love and blessings, and to thank Him for the joy and mercy His love brings.
Like the old hymn says, " And He walks with me and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known." Each and every one of us can have such a relationship with Christ.
There is great depth in knowing Him. We need never walk alone, and sharing all things with the Lord is joy beyond words.
"But let all who take refuge in You, be glad,
let them ever sing for joy knowing
Your steadfast love is ours forever,"
Psalm 5:11
Sweet and gentle Jesus, may we never cease walking with You. May we seek an ever closer relationship with You for all the days of our lives. Let us look forward to sharing our joys and laughter with You and also look with eager anticipation to the peace and comfort You give when we share our sorrows and disappointments. With You we are never alone or lonely.
You are my everything! "You are my hiding place;
You will protect me from trouble
