Saturday Writing by Carol Steficek.....

Good Morning,

The writing for today is called,"DON'T BE DISCOURAGED." It was written by Carol Steficek. Her theme is that there is no need for us to be discouraged or afraid because God is always with us. He will help us carry our burdens. Carol wrote, "Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.  Jesus is preparing a place for us in heaven and will come back to take us there."

This fact gives us a wonderful dose of encouragement!    (C.M.)

Today's Devotional

"DON'T BE DISCOURAGED"

"Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." 

Deuteronomy 1:21b

     I worked for ten years in a hospital on a medical/psych. floor.  One of the signs on the bulletin board read: "If you want to change the way you feel, you have to change the way you think."  This is so true.

     This is a difficult thing to accomplish.  It is easy to be caught up with what we feel and what we think and forget who God is and all of the promises He tells us about in His Word.

     So here are some reminders.  All of these concepts can be found throughout the Bible:  God watches over us, He never sleeps.  God invites us to take all of our burdens to Him in prayer so He can carry them for us.  God love us with an unconditional love.  God's daily provision showers innumerable blessings upon us.  God has saved us by His grace by believing in the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins.  With repentance, God forgives our sins and doesn't remember them anymore.  God knows us by name and has written us on the palms of His hands.  God is our refuge and strength.  God is our help in every trouble.  God heals us by the stripes Jesus bore on the cross for us. God will fulfill His purpose for our lives.

  

Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.  Jesus is preparing a place for us in heaven and will come back to take us there.

     Think on these things and you will not be afraid or discouraged!
