Tuesday Writing by Sandy Billingham......2/14/16

Good Morning,

The writing for today is titled, "Always With Us." It was written by Sandy Billingham. Her theme was brought to mind after a pleasant event during the weekend. She was with a group of women who were attending  a Scrap Booking Retreat. They had a wonderful time bonding with and supporting each other. From that Sandy saw the same sort of interaction that God has with His people. She goes on to say, "I came away from my Retreat feeling a stronger bonding, love and friendship with those ladies as I spent time with them all. That is how it is with our Lord as well. The difference is, that many of those women I will not see until next year, and with my precious Lord it is an every day occurrence."

There us much need to pray for the situation with the spillways at Lake Oroville. People have been evacuated, and the spillway may fail. Apparently the amount of water coming out of the lake is larger than the amount of water that comes over Niagara Falls. Please pray that the measures they are taking will stem the failure of the emergency spillway.

Tuesday Devotional
"Always With Us"

I just got back from a Scrap Book Retreat today. I had a truly marvelous time. There were nine ladies that attended at all ages and different personalities. We laughed, cried, danced, cheered each other on and actually got some scrap booking done! The time went ridiculously fast and before we knew it, it was time to go home.

As I was driving home I begin to think about how our Lord is all those things for us and more. He is always with us throughout our life. His Word tells us... 

"....and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
"Matthew 28:20B

Jesus never leaves our side and I am confident when we are experiencing the many different emotions that He too is aware and feeling those as well. He is a God of sorrow, joy, exuberance, encouragement and so, so much more.

It gives me great peace to know He is always with me and deeply knows my heart whatever I am going through. Not only is He with me but cares about every single thing I am going through. He never distances Himself from us but is always right smack dab in the midst of our life.

I came away from my Retreat feeling a stronger bonding, love and friendship with those ladies as I spent time with them all. That is how it is with our Lord as well. The difference is, that many of those women I will not see until next year, and with my precious Lord it is an every day occurrence.

He loves us immensely and whatever emotions or whatever we may experience throughout the course of our life, our God is always with us....even to the end of the age.
