Today's writing is named, "CHOSEN." It is written by Carol Steficek. She writes about what it means to be a chosen people of God...an actual royal priesthood. That membership of the people of God brings responsibility. Carol wrote, "Reflecting on this Bible passage should make us want to share the wonderful gospel message with everyone we meet so they too can become a part of a chosen people -- the people of God.." (Pretty amazing to be in this royal family.)

"But you are a chosen
people,
a royal priesthood, a holy nation,

may declare the praises of Him
who called you out of darkness
into his
wonderful light."
I Peter 2:9
The church of Jesus Christ is chosen, royal, a priesthood, holy -- we belong to
God. What a marvelous thought. Did you ever think about the fact
that you are an heir of heaven?
I've been blessed to be a baptized member of the church of Jesus Christ since I
was born. Sometimes, however, like we all do at times, I lose sight of
the magnitude of being an heir of heaven and all that the Father through His
Son Jesus has prepared for us.
Reflecting on this Bible passage should make us want to share the wonderful
gospel message with everyone we meet so they too can become a part of a chosen
people -- the people of God.
