Good Morning,
Carol Steficek is the writer of today's writing. Her title is, "NURTURED AND REFRESHED" Carol points out that when a person is overextended by her life and her extreme willingness to work for the good others, that person is out of control. Carol wrote, "Maybe it's time to step back, go back to God, and let Him nurture and refresh you. God doesn't want us to do so much that we disintegrated. He wants to give you direction." This gives all of us who are into to much service something to think about.
Hope you have a restful weekend!
God bless,
Carol & Corinne

Today's Devotional
"NURTURED AND REFRESHED"
"Repent, then,
and turn to God,
so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come
so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come
from the Lord..."
Acts 3:19a
Acts 3:19a
Have you ever been so busy during the day that when you finally went to bed you
were so tired that you had difficulty relaxing enough to go to sleep?
Have you ever awakened during the night and not been able to get back to sleep
because your mind was churning?
Have you been so busily involved in church and community activities,
"doing good" that you seem to be neglecting not only your family but
especially your own needs?
Maybe it's time to step back, go back to God, and let Him nurture and refresh
you. God doesn't want us to do so much that we end up disintegrated. He
wants to give you direction.
That is why we have a "body" of Christ. We are all
members of the same body and each of us have gifts and talents to
contribute. No one person can or should do it all. God hasn't
designed us for "burn-out." Take time every day to spend
with the Lord and receive refreshment which only He can provide. Feed on
His Word for your own nourishment. Come to the Lord.
