Good Morning,
Today's writing is "Faith Faith Faith" written by Kelly Dobyns. In case you are wondering about the theme just read the title. Kelly admits that she has struggled with faith due to the fact that she is a worrier. Kelly writes, "There have been times when I do so well with it. I just let go and let God. I give it all to Him. Life is so much more peaceful when I quiet my mind with faith and let God be in control." She has provided some excellent scriptures about Faith that I am sure you will like to read.
One day until weekend, hope you have some fun plans. And do not forget the Super Bowl on Sunday. If you have a hankering to pray read a newspaper or watch the news. There is plenty to pray about. Please pick something about which to pray.
God bless,

Today's Devotional
"Faith Faith Faith"
"Faith Faith Faith"
I always struggle with faith….I guess partly because my
genetic makeup is that of a worrier.
There have been times when I do so well with it. I just let go and let God. I give it all to Him. Life is so much more peaceful when I quiet my
mind with faith and let God be in control.
We humans keep brainstorming
options and plans,
but God’s
purpose prevails.Proverbs 19:21
(MSG)
Oh, how wonderfully true is this lovely scripture!! I know that I am constantly brainstorming all
kinds of fabulous ideas and plans…only to be greeted with great disappointed,
as I have taken back control by not keeping my faith in God. The all knowing and loving God, who knows
what is best for me. You would think I
would have learned by now that me being in control is not an option if I want
successful results…..if I want to have peace in my heart….if I want to have a
quiet and calm mind.
And the peace
of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7(NIV)
Or how about The
Message version of this same scripture?
I love how it expands in more detail of how we need to NOT worry. Pray instead of worry!
Don’t fret or
worry. Instead of worrying, pray.
Let petitions and praises shape your worries
into prayers,
letting God know your concerns.
Before you know it, a sense of
God’s wholeness,
everything coming together for good, will come and settle you
down.
It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry
at the center of
your life.
Philippians 4:7(MSG)
So my message to myself and all others today is: “Do not worry….Prayer will bring peace.”
If you
decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss
about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet
are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your
stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body.
Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description,
careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds. “Has anyone
by fussing in front of the mirror ever gotten taller by so much as an inch? All
this time and money wasted on fashion—do you think it makes that much
difference? Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and
look at the wildflowers.
They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color
and design quite like it?
The ten best-dressed men and women in the country
look shabby alongside them.“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—
look shabby alongside them.“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—
most of which are never
even seen—don’t you think
he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?
What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be
so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving.
People who don’t know God and the way he works
fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

“Give your
entire attention to what God is doing right now,
and don’t get worked up about what may or may not
happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever
hard things come up when the time comes.

Matthew 6:25-34 (MSG)
Such a great truth and one of my all time favorite passages
in the bible; my life truly does go so much smoother and I live in a calmness
when I keep my focus on the Lord, giving Him all my worries as I stay grateful
in my mind of all the blessings that He has given me. Amen!
