Good Morning,
Today's writing was authored by Carol Steficek who called it "IMMUTABILITY," While the word immutability can mean not being wrong about things, that meaning is not a good definition of what IMMUTABILITY means when referring to God. When we say that God is immutable it means that He never changes and therefore is totally reliable. We can depend on Him without fail. Carol wrote, "His promises are totally trustworthy and all have been or will be fulfilled. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
Well we are at the beginning of the weekend. Apparently, after two days of sunshine, California is about to face a gigantic storm that may last for two days bring a deluge that will swell the rivers and cause horrific mud slides. We seem to have an end to our draught that has gone on for years. Please pray that the rains come without terrible results.
God bless

"IMMUTABILITY"
"Every good and perfect
gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows."
James 1:17

who does not change like shifting shadows."
James 1:17
Immutability is a pretty fancy word. What exactly does it mean?
Something which is immutable cannot mutate, it cannot change. It's
totally unchangeable.
I dare say there is nothing we can point to in this entire world that is
immutable. We see this by natural disasters -- the weather changes
drastically. We see this in our world scene -- now there are more threats
of world unrest and possible wars.
We see this in society
-- there are no set standards or rules to live by anymore, no absolute
truth. All is judged by what is good for the individual or is
"politically correct." We see this in ourselves -- we change
our minds, our jobs, our spouses, we move, and every day we get out of bed we
grow one day older. Everything and everyone changes.
Isn't it great that our God is immutable! He is totally dependable.
What He has said in His Word stands firm and secure. He doesn't change
His mind. His promises are totally trustworthy and all have been or will
be fulfilled. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Do you want security? Depend on our immutable God and His great love for
us in Jesus Christ. He is our perfect gift from above.
