Good Morning

The name and theme of today's writing is "Joy." It was written by Kelly Dobyns. She was blessed to spend ten days at Christmas with her adult sons. She calls her time "a time of pure joy. The only one I have to thank for that is my super wonderful and eternally loving God. "  Kelly goes on to find scripture that supports her theme. She writes about Psalm 97:10-12..."The following Psalm scripture reading is so true as well, all we need to do is be faithful and His light will shine through us…..forever and ever.  I am truly so grateful to have found joy in such a simple living of life with the ones that I love so very much….surrounded by God’s love."

Today's Devotional

"Joy"

I have just been blessed with a time of pure joy.  The only one I have to thank for that is my super wonderful and eternally loving God. 

Through the victories you gave, his glory is great;
    you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.
Surely you have granted him unending blessings
    and made him glad with the joy of your presence. For the king trusts in the Lord;
    through the unfailing love of the Most High
    he will not be shaken.Psalm 21:5-7 (NIV)

I seriously didn’t think it was possible for me to feel such moments of happiness, but the Lord always, always provides.  We don’t know when or how, but, He will forever give us what we need.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

I was able to spend ten days with both of my sons, during this time we celebrated Christmas, New Years, and the best celebration was my son’s birthday!!  Thank you Father, so very much for presenting this amazing time for us to share our love, showing each of us how much we truly love each and treasure each other.  I can’t even thank God enough for giving this to us.  The best way I can show Him how much it meant to me is to hold it so close to my heart and also I am going to plan our next visit much sooner than later.  The joy discovered and held so closely can never be displaced, and our Father is the one that will continue to present unending joys and blessings.  He has shown me the truth that I have been missing; along with redirecting myself to better prioritize events in my life.  I praise you Father for all you do for me!! 

 Here is one of my favorite verses…..it speaks so much simple truth to live by.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Galatians 5:22 (NIV)

The following Psalm scripture reading is so true as well, all we need to do is be faithful and His light will shine through us…..forever and ever.  I am truly so grateful to have found joy in such a simple living of life with the ones that I love so very much….surrounded by God’s love.
