Good Morning,
Today's story is the telling of the paralyzed man who was lowered through the hole his friends made in the roof so that they could get him past the crowd to Jesus. They were hoping for a cure, and Jesus did cure him. The cure is incidental to the story. What impressed Jesus was the faith he saw as this unfolded. This is co-written by Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Ward. The writing is titled "Qualities and Benefits of Faith." Here is a quotation from this writing, "Wherever, and whenever, God see these qualities of faith, His glory is established, revealed and displayed to confirm His word. For He said, 'I stand behind my word to confirm it,' Isa 55:11, Jer 1:12."
May the last few days of 2016 prove to be the icing on your cake for this waning year. Lift up 2017 with prayer that it will be a year filled with goodness and light!
God bless,

"Qualities and Benefits of Faith"
And four men came to Jesus, carrying a paralyzed man between
them on a makeshift stretcher made of mats and blankets. But they could not get
into Jesus because the large crowd was packed tight and pressed against them,
not allowing any room for the cot.
Since they could not get to a spot where they could place the
paralyzed man in front of Jesus, they went up onto the flat rooftop and started
digging through the mud and the boards that formed the roof.
When they had broken the roof up, right above where Jesus
was, and scooped out an opening large enough to fit the man on his stretcher,
they lowered him down on his bed in front of everyone, near where all the other
sick and paralyzed were lying.
And Jesus saw how much faith they had and was impressed with
their bold confidence in God through Him. He said to the paralyzed man, “Son,
your sins are forgiven,” meaning that he was forgiven and now in right standing
with God.
Mark 2.3-5
What attracted the immediate attention of Jesus
was the faith He saw. Jesus was moved by the confidence, the trust, the
positive attitude, and the level of expectation
that He observed in the men who brought the paralyzed man to Him.
Faith is the substance of things hoped
for and the evidence of things not seen Heb 11:1.
Faith is the gap between asking and receiving Mark 11:22-24.
Faith is the action that releases the spiritual and the
supernatural into a physical materialization Luke 5:4-5, Acts 3:4-8.
Faith speaks God's language Gen 18:14 & Jer 32:36-27.
Faith sees beyond the symptoms of a situation to believe for
the solution Mark 5:25-30.
Faith sees beyond the present, to
see to future. Faith releases our spiritual authority to control a situation
created by the enemy. Faith declares what God says we truly are, and not what
our situation and environment has made us believe of ourselves Rom 8:1-3 & 37.
Wherever, and whenever, God see
these qualities of faith, His glory is established, revealed and displayed to
confirm His word. For He said, “I stand behind my word to confirm it,” Isa 55:11, Jer 1:12.
May Faith arise in our hearts today
so we can begin to do the extra ordinary and believe for the impossible. Faith
is action, live it out today.
