Thursday Writing by Brother Thomas and Jody.......12/15/16

Good Morning,

Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Ward collaborated on today's writing called, "STAND IN THE BREACH." The theme is that we have a mandate to declare the good news to the world. In many cases we fall short in success in doing this. They wrote, "Pray for both our nations. (Nigeria and the United States) Pray that the leaders of our nation, state, local government and community leaders to begin to seek God and govern for the good of their subjects. Pray they will humble themselves to be servants of the people and wise leaders."

May you have an enjoyable Thursday filled with Joy. Please remember to pray for our nation and for people for whom the celebrations are filled with mourning.

God bless,
Corinne, Brother Thomas, and Jody

Today's Devotional
By Brother Thomas and Jody
"STAND IN THE BREACH"

Then the Lord said to me, “I searched for a man among the people who would build up the walls. I looked for someone who would stand before Me where the walls are broken and repair the defenses,  the walls of righteousness that guard the land.

I sought someone to stand in the breach of the broken wall and defend the people. For the sake of the land, I looked for a man or woman to stand in the gap before Me. I looked in vain for anyone who would stand for Me where the walls are broken, on behalf of the nation and to protect them, so that I would not have to destroy it, but I did not find anyone. Not even one.”
Ezekiel 22.30

We have a mandate to take the good news to the ends of the earth. We have a directive to stand in the breach for righteousness. We are compelled by God to repair the broken with the message of Jesus, our hope and our glory.

Dearest friends, this is a trumpet call to prayer for the salvation of millions of souls out there who have never heard, or responded to, the message that Jesus died for them.

Wherever you go today, whatever you do, remember that your five minutes of prayer can impact your world and save so many lost souls.

Now, as you are reading, just pause here, and spend the next five minutes praying for someone to hear today, and answer the call of, the good news of salvation. Pray for the Holy Spirit to exhibit His power and express God’s will in our churches. Pray for a spirit of holiness to be restored to our churches again.

Pray for my country, Nigeria; there is suffering in the land; no fuel, no power, the cost of transport and food are beyond the reach of the common man, bloodshed and kidnapping are routine occurrences. Our leaders elevate themselves to a dangerous heights, living in luxury while lying to us.

Pray for your country, the United States of America, being torn apart by politics, corruption, racism and a determined, focused effort to remove God from public life.

Pray for both our nations.  Pray that the leaders of our nation, state, local government and community leaders to begin to seek God and govern for the good of their subjects. Pray they will humble themselves to be servants of the people and wise leaders.

May God find you dependable and a channel through which He can reach this dark world for His Kingdom.

Then if My people, my God-defined people who are called by My name, respond by humbling themselves and praying with sorrow, I will hear them from heaven. If they react with prayer, searching for me, seeking My presence, craving righteousness and turning their backs on sin and their wicked ways, then I will forgive their sin and surely heal their land.

I’ll be there, ready for them, to hear, to listen, to forgive and restore their land to health.
