Good Morning,

The name of today's devotional is "NEVER SATISFIED." So many people spend lives of adding to their possessions, and continue to be dissatisfied with their life. This is the topic of Carol Steficek's writing. She acknowledge that we all have an empty space that things can never satisfy. Carol wrote, "God made us to be satisfied when we rest in Him.  There is something within each of us, whether we admit it or not, that longs for the eternity which God has set within our hearts.  We are strangers on earth and only our heavenly home will truly satisfy."

Have a great Saturday. Please remember these two things...Jesus is the reason for the season...continue to pray for our country.

Saturday Devotional

"NEVER SATISFIED"

"For we brought nothing into the world, 

and we can take nothing out of it. 

 But if we have food and clothing, 

we will be content with that." 

 I Timothy 6:7, 8

      

     

     Have you ever noticed what a dissatisfied culture we live in?  It seems like many people are never satisfied.  A person can be on vacation already planning the next.  A child wants to be a teenager.  A teenager wants to be an adult.  A single adult wants to be married.  Look at your neighbor's new car, now you want one.  You would be happy if only you could have a bigger house or a boat -- and on and on.

     Our problem is something few of us realize.  Nothing on this earth can truly satisfy us. Many people spend their entire lives accumulating more and more and still find no true and lasting satisfaction.

     God made us to be satisfied when we rest in Him.  There is something within each of us, whether we admit it or not, that longs for the eternity which God has set within our hearts.  We are strangers on earth and only our heavenly home will truly satisfy.

     Next time you are feeling the pull of inner dis-satisfaction, open your Bible and search for God in His Word.  Only He can satisfy.
