The writing for today is called, "SECRET THINGS." It was written by Carol Steficek. The theme is that there are things that are only known by God...in fact there is no reason for us to know these things. Carol wrote, "Reading His Word we should be content to know the truths He does reveal to us. We should stop looking for secret things which will never be revealed to us and just be satisfied to know the One who knows."

"SECRET THINGS"
"SECRET THINGS"
"The secret
things belong to the Lord our God,
but the things revealed belong to us and to
our children forever,
that we may follow all the words of this law."
Deuteronomy 29:29
We are all learning how much information is readily available to us almost
instantaneously. The internet still amazes me -- it's like having the
entire Library of Congress right in my home!
But, in spite of all that is available to us, we all live with many unanswered
questions. Why does this happen? How can I be sure of that?
Where is God? Why didn't God answer my prayer just like I asked and when I
wanted it?
We know very little about the larger scheme of things in this world.
There are many, many things we do not see clearly, and many, many things we
will never know or understand. God is God.
However, God has revealed to us in His Word, the Bible, all we need to know to
have an abundant and good life here as well as assurance of eternal life with
Him in heaven.
Reading His Word we should be content to know the truths He does reveal to
us. We should stop looking for secret things which will never be revealed
to us and just be satisfied to know the One who knows.
