Good morning,
The theme of today's writing is the fact that people make time for all the secular celebrations of Christmas but loose sight of the meaning and what happened because Jesus was born. It was written by Brother Thomas and Jody Ward and the title is...
"Make Room in the Inn of Our Hearts"
Here is a quote from this writing. "May we all have a Merry Christmas and may we use this holiday season as a door of opportunity to proclaim the true meaning of Christmas. And may God bless us as we share the responsibility, and the joy, of telling the wonderful story."

"Make Room in the Inn of Our Hearts"
While they were there, the time came for her to give birth and she gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him in strips of cloth and laid him on a bed of hay in a manger, a feeding trough where animals are fed, because there was no room left at the inn.
Luke 2.7
As we celebrate Christmas, I wonder if we have taken the time to examine this simple bu
t important report on the birth of Christ "THERE WAS NO ROOM AT THE INN".
He was the King of Kings but born in a manger. The wise men saw His star in the east, yet Harold did not recognize Him. He was the Prince of peace, yet at the end of His life, people cried out for His death and demanded the release of a murderer.
Could this be happening again today? Is there no room for Him during our Christmas? Billions of dollars are spent in the observance of the Savior’s birth, while the world turns their back on His offer of eternal life. Great fanfare rocks the nations in the celebration of that same Savior, while, at the same time, many governments are making frantic efforts to eliminate any reference to Jesus and wipe His name from the Book (as if they could.)
We are the church - the official custodians of the Kingdom message, the Kingdom life, and the Kingdom power and authority. We often seem to have forgotten the mandate to go into the world and preach the good news to all creatures and resist the efforts to silence the name of Jesus, especially at Christmas.
Angels proclaimed the good news when He was born, The Shepherds broadcasted the news of His birth as was told to them by the Angels. The wise men declared the news of the sign of a star that they saw in the east.
And Christmas should not be, and cannot be different today. Let everything you do in the celebration of this great event proclaim the good news of the kingdom. The good news of our Savior’s birth is the very essence of the celebration of Christmas.
Jesus IS the good news; the GOOD NEWS of freedom from sin and oppression, the GOOD NEWS of the hope of eternal life, the GOOD NEWS of deliverance from depression, the GOOD NEWS of peace from anxiety, the GOOD NEWS of miracles and joy, life instead of death, sacrifice and redemption.
May we all have a Merry Christmas and may we use this holiday season as a door of opportunity to proclaim the true meaning of Christmas. And may God bless us as we share the responsibility, and the joy, of telling the wonderful story of Jesus to the world, a story of hope, love, peace and good will to all mankind.
