Good Morning,

The writing for Saturday, "Continuing Thanksgiving," was written by Kelly Dobyns.  Kelly is choosing to have a continuous Thanksgiving.   She wrote, "This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God."

Saturday's Devotional

Continuing Thanksgiving

There are so very many things in life that I am so grateful for.  There can be so many times of sadness and times of forgetting to be thankful, (like right now when my computer is making me angry), that all I want to do right now is honor God with so many of his scriptures regarding Thanksgiving!!

 God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it,

He throws caution to the winds,

    giving to the needy in reckless abandon.

His right-living, right-giving ways

    never run out, never wear out.

2 Corinthians 9:11

This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God. 

The trumpeters and singers 

performed together 

in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord. 

Accompanied by trumpets, 

cymbals, and other instruments, 

they raised their voices and praised the Lord 

with these words:

“He is good!His faithful love endures forever!”At that moment a thick cloud

 filled the Temple of the Lord.

We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive.
