Good Morning,
The devotional today was co-written by Brother Thomas Ukwute and Jody Ward. The title is
"CHOSEN VESSEL, PART 2." It is continued from yesterday's devotional The theme of their writing starts with the fact that God knew all about those were formed before their birth, and when He set their life purpose they became his chosen instrument.
In 2 Corinthians God said,
“I’ll live in them, move into them, walk among them;
I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people.
So, come out from among unbelievers and separate yourselves from them
So, come out from among unbelievers and separate yourselves from them
Leave them and their filthy things, their corruption and their compromise;
leave it for good,” says God.
leave it for good,” says God.
Jody wrote, "We are given the honor, and the duty, of carrying Jesus to a lost world. We must separate ourselves from the evil of the world if we are to be effective, productive and useful for God’s purposes."
Have a nice Friday, and please pray for our country!
God bless,
Corinne, Brother Thomas, & Jody

Friday Writing
CHOSEN VESSEL
Part 2:
Go now,
leave your bonds
and your slavery.
Depart from Babylon, and all it represents. Don’t touch anything unclean or filthy on the way. Don’t contaminate yourselves with the plunder and the trappings of captivity.
Don’t look back. Just leave. Leave it all far behind you. But leave clean.
You are the holy people of the Lord. Purify yourselves, you who carry the articles of the Lord. Wash yourselves and be ready to carry back everything sacred. You, who carry the weapons of Jehovah, are a holy people of the Lord. Cleanse yourself in worship. Cleanse yourself, all of you who carry home the holy objects of the Lord, the sacred vessels of Jehovah.
Isaiah 52.11
We are in the last days where God is looking for vessels He can use to convey the message of sin and conviction to people, and then bring the message of redemption and reconciliation to the lost and broken.
You are not the same as
those who do not believe. So do not make mismatched alliances with them that
are inconsistent with your faith. Do not be unequally bound together with
unbelievers. Don’t become partners with those who reject God or team up with
those who do not love the Lord, for how can people who follow the Lord
have anything in common with those who don’t?
Good and bad do not
belong together. Do light and darkness share the same space? Do trust and
mistrust hold hands? Can there be harmony between Christ and the devil?
How can a believer be a
partner with an unbeliever? How can you make a partnership out of right and
wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war.
And who would think of
setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we
are, each of us a temple in whom God lives, and idols of any form do not belong
there.
As God said:
“I’ll live in them, move
into them, walk among them;
I’ll
be their God and they’ll be my people.
So, come out from among unbelievers and separate yourselves from them
So, come out from among unbelievers and separate yourselves from them
Leave them and their
filthy things, their corruption and their compromise;
leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I will receive you and welcome you with favor.
leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I will receive you and welcome you with favor.
I’ll be a Father to
you; you’ll be My people, My sons and daughters.”
Says the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6.14-18
We are in the last days where God is looking for vessels He can use to convey the message of sin and conviction to people, and then bring the message of redemption and reconciliation to the lost and broken.
There are many people
talking and making noise, but God is looking for a voice, to be His voice,
to the world. Ask yourself, am I the voice He is looking for?
We are given the honor,
and the duty, of carrying Jesus to a lost world. We must separate ourselves
from the evil of the world if we are to be effective, productive and useful for
God’s purposes.
Today, pray the Lord
will find a willing vessel in us and that the world will hear His voice clearly
through us.
