Saturday......9/17/16

Good Morning...

Today I provided a dinner for Kaleb's uncle and aunt and cousins. It feels good to do something for people who are dealing with a difficult situation. Tomorrow is Kaleb's memorial service at our church. We as part of the church family will all be there to remember Kaleb and come alongside his family. Please pray for Kaleb's biological and church family tomorrow.

May Saturday bring you sweet moments.
God Bless

Carol Steficek  wrote the devotional for Saturday. It is called  "INTERCESSION."    The theme of this writing is obvious. Carol points out that when we need to pray it is often that we do not have a clue how to pray. This is when the Holy Spirit moves in and prays in ways that we cannot pray. (See the scripture below. (Romans 8:26) Carol wrote,"So keep on praying and realize that your prayers are heard, no matter how they may sound.  The Spirit intercedes for us."

"INTERCESSION"

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We do not know what we ought to pray for,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with
groans that words cannot express."
Romans 8:26

I don't know about you, but when I am hurting deeply, or some person or problem is weighing on my mind, I find that is the very time when I don't know how to pray -- what to say, what to ask for.

I know that we can just talk to God as we do any other person and His is always listening.  But sometimes I don't know what to even ask for.  I don't even know all the facts let alone see the future so don't know what is best.  I don't always know the will of God for that person or situation or problem.

That is the time when this passage comes to mind.  In our weakness the Holy Spirit actually intercedes for us.  What a promise.  What a comfort.

Imagine, the Holy Spirit, who dwells within each believer, He is the One who not only knows us intimately, but He is God and knows all.  Who better to intercede for us before the throne of the Father and in the Name of the Son, Jesus, than the third person of the Trinity?

So keep on praying and realize that your prayers are heard, no matter how they may sound.  The Spirit intercedes for us.
