Good Morning...
I am glad that it is weekend even though as a retirement aged person all the days tend to be the same. That is, except for Sunday. That is a different day. For me something special happens on Sunday for me. I love going to church and meeting my church family. It is such an edifying experience to stand and sing praises to our God. If that were not enough we are doing it with people who are like our families. Then getting a message that is food for thought for days in the weeks that follow.
For me this weekend I get to meet with a special friend, Diane. We have been getting together one Saturday a month for breakfast. We seem to have no dearth of things to talk about and sometimes we are together for three of four hours. I wonder if the people look at us talking away and wonder, "What the heck?" It is lovely to have special friends like this.

Carol Steficek wrote the Saturday devotional. It is titled, "Waiting." We spend so much time waiting for so many things. Carol talks about making these times count and not just let them be a source of annoyance. She carries a small Bible in her purse. (I have downloaded an NIV Bible on my phone, which makes waiting times pass quickly and profitable.) Carol wrote..."Moments that interrupt our schedules can be godly moments of refreshment. That is never a waste of time."
Have a stupendous Saturday.
God bless

"Waiting"
"I will extol the
Lord at all times;
His praise will always be on my lips."
Psalm 34:1
We all have to
spend a great deal of our time waiting. We wait in lines at cash
registers to buy things, we wait for trains to cross our roads, we wait in
traffic jams, we wait at doctors' appointments -- we wait for lots of thing
which disrupt our busy schedules.
What do you do with these moments of seemingly wasted time? Do you fret
or curse or worry you're now behind schedule? Why not do something with
these moments that make them a godly time?
I carry a small Bible in my purse. Sometimes I also have a book in the
car with me. This can be a few minutes of extra time to spend with God.
Memorize a Bible verse. Pray. Just spend a few quiet moments out of
the rush of the day to be in God's presence.
Moments that interrupt our schedules can be godly moments of refreshment.
That is never a waste of time.
