Good Morning,

I landed in Maine at 9:39 am on Wednesday. You may have noticed that there was no post for Tuesday. The reason was that I did not seem to be able to connect to a wifi link in the airports.

We went to a store called "The Christmas Tree Store" after I had landed. I wish we had this store in California because it is a really fun place to shop. Then we went out to lunch. Storm arrived with her mother and we had a great time all day. It is nice to be here. Blue sky and water everywhere. Beautiful place. Maine.

The devotional for Thursday was written by Sandy Billingham. The theme of her writing iw that we are and will always be safe when we run to Jesus.

"Safe In Jesus' Arms"

I love to meditate on the fact that my family and myself are always safe in the arms of Jesus. I picture myself many times wrapped tightly in Jesus' arms. He promises to take care of us and always be there for us.

In Proverbs 18:10 it says...

"The name of the Lord

is a strong tower;

the righteous run to it and are safe."

Even saying the name of the Lord out loud is powerful and we find safety. He is a strong, solid rock which can never be moved. We His people can always run to our Lord knowing once again we are always safe.

Maybe you can remember times growing up, just knowing when your daddy or other family members such as uncles or grandfathers were around you felt safe. You knew you could depend on them any time you were in danger. There was no doubt in your mind that you could run to them and they would be right there for you!

Our Heavenly Father is just that, only a million times over. He is someone that will never disappoint us nor let us down. He watches over us when no one else is around and He will do just what He says He will do protecting us at all times.

The Lord God is a mighty strong tower to us as we call out His Name. The best part of all He keeps us safe in the midst of the fiercest storms. He is that safe haven and refuge surrounding us with solid arms of love. We have the "best daddy" in the whole world that takes care of His children like no one else can!
