Good morning,,,
Wednesday we had planned a friend to come over for the day to play with Daniel. At the last minute last night he said that he would not be able to come. We tried to think of something that the kids could do. There is a permanent junk sale up the road that is out on a lawn all the time. Some of it is incredible junk but some of it is cool and reminds me of the stuff that Joanna Barnes of Waco finds for the houses she decorates on HGTV.
These grandchildren of Storm's are unusual little guys. They like to go to yard sales and thrift shops. They are scavengers excellante. The younger one did not find anything, but Daniel did, He has a collection of soda cans and all kinds of stuff. He bought a coke glass and a flask in a purple velvet bag that he plans to put on his shelf for a decoration. One of his treasures from an earlier shopping there is a leather Indiana Jones style hat, We also went to an antique shop where Daniel wanted to buy a knife. The seller had not priced it so he has to wait for it to be priced.
Have a terrific Thursday...that is an order
God bless.....Corinne

The title of Thursday's Devotional is "The Baptism of Jesus" and was written by Kathryn Larson. She calls Baptism one of the most beautiful ways we have to show to show that we are saying yes to our precious Jesus. She mentions about how God said that Jesus was 'is beloved son in whom He was pleased. Then Kathryn wrote, "We are his beloved sons and daughters whom he loves.......The awesome significance is that it symbolizes........Jesus Christ in our identification with Him."

The Baptism of Jesus
through baptism into death,
that just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should
even so we also should
walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4
Romans 6:4
Water baptism is one of the most beautiful outward appearances of our saying yes to our precious Jesus. Just recently I had the honor of being part of such a time of celebration. A celebration of leaving the old behind and stepping into the new. I saw the power of our living God come alive in the house of the Lord as each person was brought up out of the water. Brothers and sisters in Christ erupted into joyous shouts of victory.
It was like Springtime as the earth comes alive after lying dormant. I saw heaven come to earth. It reminded me of when Jesus was coming up out of the water, heaven was opened, and the Spirit was descending like a dove. The voice of God said, "This is my beloved Son whom I love."
We are his beloved sons and daughters whom he loves. The awesome significance is that it symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ in our identification with him.
