Wednesday Writings.......7/27/16

Good morning...

Today I went to the gym. I had planned to return to the gym a few weeks ago. Being busy I have a hard time going. One thing I like about the gym are the water aerobics classes for people who have Arthritis. Today, however, I just walked the treadmill. I always feel so invigorated after I so some exercise.

Hope your Wednesday is a good one.

God bless from
Corinne

The Devotional component in the Wednesday Writings of Women's Focus Ministries is titled, "Complete In Him" and was written by Sandy Billingham. The theme of this devotional is based on  Colossians 2:10  which says that you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. We never have to worry about being depleted because we are filled with the Lord.Sandy wrote, "That (Co.2:i0) is a "Huge Verse"! We are complete in Him!!  That means in Christ, we lack nothing! Because of His sacrifice of sin He completed for us, we too have been filled with His knowledge and His will and so much more!"

"Complete In Him"
written by
Sandy Billingham

I believe sometimes we as God's people do not realize the greatness that lies within us. God Almighty Himself lives within us if we have surrendered our life to Christ and invited Him in. Everything that He is, is in our life. We just need to be aware of that and walk that out.

The word tells us...

"and you are complete in Him,
who is the head of all principality
and power."

 Colossians 2:10

That is a "Huge Verse"! We are complete in Him!!  That means in Christ, we lack nothing! Because of His sacrifice of sin He completed for us, we too have been filled with His knowledge and His will and so much more!

We can walk daily in the completeness of Christ. When there are areas in our life we sense we are in great need of, we can call upon the Lord Jesus Christ to activate those needs in our life. He will see to it that those needs shall be fulfilled and flowing in our life.

We do not have to fill depleted or that there is not enough, for the Lord is always enough for us. What a revelation to know that because of who we are in Christ Jesus and whose we are, He will see to it that nothing shall be incomplete.

We are complete in Christ with all His fullness all our days. Bask in your completeness in Christ today!

 Complete In Him,
           Sandy

   Thoughts from Corinne

The six days since last Thursday have been a nightmare for me. I thought a lot about whether I should share this. I have had some meaningful aha moments as I began to get that there were lessons that were to be learned in all this pain.

On July 21, I had arranged to meet three friends for breakfast. We were meeting to brainstorm about the the things that Woman's Focus Ministries does offline. I had not gotton more than a mile from my house when I noticed the tire low air warning light had gone on. Should I go back and trade cars with my husband or proceed and find a place to check the air. I was worried because I had left a bit late and was late by the time I got the air. I was about 10 minutes from my destination and was becoming very nervous. I got to the corner and  started to turn left. To my horror I looked up to see a car coming toward me very fast. I had not noticed the turn arrow had changed to red. I gunned the car, but I still had an accident. The force of the other car spun my car around 180 deegrees.

I will post a picture at the end of this story. I drove the car back and went into a nearby gasoline station. I got out of the car and the other woman was crying and shaking. I went up to her and put my hands on the side of her face. I said, "Don't cry; we are okay." She asked me of I was really okay. As we tried to exchange our info, she told me that she is Christian. You can probably guess where it went from there. I am as well. Then she was on the phone with her husband and told him that I also am Christian and that I was very nice. She told me some things about her walk and how she wished she had more opportunity to walk a better walk. I told her about my blog and the ministry.

I called my friends that I was supposed to be meeting and they came immediately. Her boss arrived to help her. Her bumper needed to be roped up and taped up. One of my friends had rope and tape came from somewhere. The woman, Karen, then told me her boss was a Christian and told him that I and my friends were also Christian.

Before we all went our separate ways we all circled and joined hands and hearts to pray together.

This is getting very long and so I will continue tomorrow with the things I have learned
in this incident.
