Saturday Writings......7/23/16

Good morning...

Today has got to be better than Thursday or for that matter Friday either. I was scheduled to meet with Jody (my co leader) and two special friends (Kathy and Vicki) to brainstorm about the ministry on Thursday. I got into my car and a couple of minutes later the low air in tire light came on. I decided to keep going, (and not come back for my husband's car, which you will see was God inspired. I stopped and got the tires checked. By then I was more than ten minutes late for our meeting. I got to the turn to go to the restaurant and had a serious accident. It was my fault! God was in that as well! I will write about that on Monday. Yesterday I was supposed to go to a friend's house to paint a tree on her living room wall...yep you are reading this right. I tried to post on Friday but I ran out or time. I apologize profusely.

Have a fantastic Saturday!

God bless from
Corinne

The Devotional component in the Friday Writings of Women's Focus Ministries is titled, "BLESSINGS" and was written by Carol Steficek. Carol wrote, "Grow up into a relationship with the Father in His Son, Jesus.  Raise your face to God and lift your arms to receive.  Let Him shower you, as His child, with His blessings."

BLESSINGS

"The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
 Numbers 6:24-26

     One of the things I like most about the church denomination which I belong to is the liturgy we use every Sunday.  The above Bible verses serve as the benediction to the congregation at the close of the service.

     For me, it is a comforting feeling to know that the Lord is looking at me and promises to provide all that I need for the coming week as I leave worship in His sanctuary.

     All of us have learned that there isn't anyone or anything that we can count on 100% in life.  People disappoint, people die and leave us alone, the world is a roller-coaster of changes and often provides a rough ride.  Life is uncertain.

     It is our heavenly Father who, in spite of what it looks like, is still fully in control of His creation, including each of our lives.  He longs to bless each of us.  He is gracious to people every day, even those who reject Him.  He longs to give each of us a peace which the world cannot give us.

     Grow up into a relationship with the Father in His Son, Jesus.  Raise your face to God and lift your arms to receive.  Let Him shower you, as His child, with His blessings.

                                                      Inspired Writing of a Friend

"Don't Talk, Don't Trust, Don't Feel"
These are learned behaviors that become lifestyle. However a lifestyle can be completely transformed and rebuilt by Christ. He restores the heart of a child.
I am learning to talk and be free, I am learning to trust safe people, and I am learning to feel the things that hurt me. I am learning to walk in complete freedom and victory in Christ!

As I experience the power of Jesus in my life, I can't help but glorify and praise Him for making me into a new creation.

they shall be as white as snow"
